Condolences to a Family and a Plea to Redouble Our Vigilance
Today we learned of the death of a patient in her 70s with underlying health conditions in which Covid-19 was judged to be a contributing factor.
“Our community expresses condolences to the family and friends on their recent loss,” said Joe Denen, City Manager. “It is easy when reading or listening to the news to think about virus statistics like numbers and not people, let us respect the privacy of the family and use this dark milestone to remind us all to take precautions, concerning the virus.” Denen said.
Please take the opportunity to wash or sanitize your hands. Please wear a face mask when you are shopping or performing other errands. Please observe the advice to keep reasonable distance from people that are not part of your household.
“I believe in your ability and desire to exercise good judgement and to make a difference,” said Denen. “We can’t exist in a state of fear, neither should we fail to act in simple ways that can help to increase the relative safety of people at risk.”
